The Beach House bag

Vi ricordate questo Jelly Roll? Si chiama “Beach House”.
Da questo Jelly roll ho estrapolato alcune pezze e ho confezionato un sacchettino. I colori tenui mi hanno subito fatto pensare alla mia bimba, e allora perché non riporci qualche suo piccolo oggetto? Come la berrettina e le babbucce di lana ( ne ho una serie di pezzi) tutti fatti a mano da mia suocera, come anche la coperta bianca nello sfondo.

Do you remember this Jelly Roll? It's called "Beach House". I've chosen some fabrics and Iive created a small bag. The soft colors made me think about my baby, so isn't it nice to put some small baby objects in there?As the wool cap, and slippers (I have a few pairs) all handmade by my mother-in-law, as well as the white blanket in the background.

Per chi come me questi bimbetti non stufano mai di piacere, ecco il nuovo arrivato della serie…
Questa è una bimba sola soletta a passeggio per la campagna, ma presto incontrerà qualcuno, chi sarà? Il lupo cattivo? Ma no, quella è un’altra storia….Aspettate e vedrete!

Joli sac à linge

In questi giorni è tanta la voglia di tenerezza che mi sono soffermata sui cuccioli di Beatrix Potter. L'idea è quella di realizzare un sacchetto porta biancheria per la mia bimba proprio come quello illustrato nel libro di Chantal Sabatier: "L'univers enchanteur de Beatrix Potter". Anche se il sacco è nei toni azzurri, credo che non li cambierò, mi piace molto così.

I'm so in search for tenderness in these days that I've decided to work on Beatrix Potter's puppies. The idea is to create a bag for my little girl just like the one shown in the book by Chantal Sabatier: "L'univers de Enchanteur Beatrix Potter." Although the bag's colours are blue tones, I think I will not change those, I like it as it is.

The birthday gift

Tempo di festeggiamenti! Ma non solo per le bimbe Hummel, anche per me! Voglio annunciarvi che presto sarò mamma di una bambina che dovrebbe nascere i primi di dicembre!! Una grandissima gioia mi ha travolta tanto che mi sono messa a ricamare gli schemi Hummel all'impazzata! Tra qualche nausea e stanchezza sono stata un pò latitante con il blog, ma sto bene e tutto sta procedendo per il meglio. Ora sono a casa e mi godo la maternità, ho finalmente il tempo per dedicarmi a tempo pieno alle mie passioni, almeno fino all'arrivo di Arianna!

Time to celebrate! But not just for the Hummel girls, even for me! I want to announce you that I will soon become mother of a child who should born in early December! A great joy overwhelmed me so much that I started to embroider Hummel patterns! Among some sickness and tiredness I was a bit lazy posting in my blog, but I'm fine now and everything is going well. Now I'm home and I'm enjoying motherhood, I finally got the time to spend full time with my passions, at least until the arrival of Arianna!

Colori d'autunno

Da un progetto patchwork di San Valentino sto creando un cuscino cuoricioso sfruttando calde stoffe autunnali che ho attualmente a disposizione.

Ho tagliato le stoffe in strisce larghe 2 1/2 inches per poi tagliarle nuovamente in svariate sagome necessarie per comporre lo schema. Cucire insieme le pezze è stata la parte più divertente anche se è stato un pò faticoso far combaciare bene tutti gli angoli.

Mi rimane da fare la trapuntatura a mano e l'assemblaggio del cuscino.

Spero di finirlo presto, i colori si uniformano a quelli del mio appartamento e il divano attende già il suo soffice nuovo compagno per festeggiare l'autunno.

From a Valentine's Day patchwork project I am creating a sweet cushion using warm autumn fabrics I currently have available. I cut the fabrics into 2 1/2 inches large strips and then I cut them again in a variety of templates needed to make the pattern. Sewing the pieces together was the funniest part, even though it was a little bit hard to match well corners. To finish the pillow I need to do the quilting by hand and assembling the backing piece. I hope to finish soon, the colors match perfectly to those of my apartment and the couch is already waiting for his new soft friend to celebrate the new season.
