Un nuovo libro:

Un invito in un incantevole giardino ricamato.

Che delizia questi ricami!

Non c'è niente di più bello che sedersi in giardino e assaporare il profumo e la freschezza di fiori e frutti trasportandoli sulla tela!

What a flavour this embroideries! There is nothing more beautiful than to sit in the garden and enjoy the fragrance and freshness of flowers and fruits and put them on linen! Here are some photos from the book. One of my next work will be a heart like this!

Azzurro, il pomeriggio è troppo azzurro...

... e lungo abbastanza da essere riuscita a finire questo plaid cominciato quest'inverno.

Ho messo insieme 7x7 blocchi da nove (nine patch) tutti nei toni dell'azzurro con roselline sparse qua e la e qualche blocco bianco per finire con un bordo a quadretti tutto attorno e un piccolo orlo fatto con gli avanzi di stoffa dei blocchi.

La coperta è grande abbastanza da coprire tutto il letto e non è stato stanto facile cucirla per via del suo ingombro, tenendo conto che non ho un piano di lavoro molto grande...

Eccola qui ora stirata e piegata.

Il piccolo elefantino di cucito creativo gli sta bene vicino e richiama gli stessi colori del plaid...

I finished the quilt I started this winter. I put together 7x7 blocks of nine (nine patches) all in shades of blue with roses scattered here and there and white blocks. I ended it with a squared edge all around and a little roll made with the leftovers of cloth blocks. The quilt is large enough to cover all the bed and it was not easy to sew,because of its size, and I don't have a very large table where I work on ...
Here it is now. Ironed and folded.

I like to see the little elephant in creative sewing beside the plaid. The colors match perfectly together.

Coltivando anemoni

Dopo aver dedicato le ultime settimane al patchwork, questo pomeriggio sono tornata a rilassarmi con il ricamo... E precisamente al bouquet di anemoni. Oltre a coltivarli in giardino mi piace dipingerli in punta d'ago sulla tela e questi anemoni recisi in vaso dai bei colori vivaci li trovo irresistibili! E intanto che aspetto che sboccino quelli sul balcone, mi rilasso guardando crescere quelli di cotone moulinè...

I spent the last weeks doing only patchwork, but this afternoon I went back to relax with embroidery ... And exactly the bouquet of anemones. Beyond cultivating them in the garden I like to "paint it" on linen and I find these cut anemones, in beautiful bright colors, irresistible! And while I wait the ones outside to bloom, I relax watching the cotton ones growing...

L'orto sul balcone

Le piantine stanno crescendo... Qui in primo piano zucchine e valeriana; Dietro, l'anemone che sembra prezzemolo...

Ravanello e carote baby

Il ravanello è stato il primo a spuntare e cresce velocemente, sotto le foglie si intravvede già qualcosa di rosso...! Le zucchine, la valeriana e le carote sono state le ultime a spuntare perchè penso abbiano bisogno di un clima più mite, e stanno crescendo bene...

The plants are growing ... Here a closeup of zucchini and lettuce, and the anemone behind which seems like parsley. The radish was the first to grow and if you look under the leaves you can see something red...! Courgettes, lettuce and baby carrots are the last who came out because of the milder climate I think, and now are growing well ...

Per il bagno

Lino, cotonine colorate, monogramma antico e bottone per un pratico, e anche capiente sacco.

Another bag for the bathroom. Linen, colored cotton fabrics, button and ancient monogram for this practical and capacious bag.

Manca poco...

In questi ultimi giorni mi sto dedicando alla tovaglia pasquale.. conto di finirla presto ormai. Sto cucendo gli ultimi pezzi di stoffa rimasti (vado ad esaurimento scorte) poi manca il bordo per il quale ho riservato una delle stoffe usate nella composizione dei rombi (e che questa volta cucirò a macchina!) per finire con un ulteriore bordo in pizzo.

Ne approfitto anche per mostrarvi le mie due nuove piantine i ranuncoli, uno dei miei fiori preferiti...

In these days I'm working on my Easter tablecloth .. It won't take long now to finish it. I'm sewing the last remaining pieces (the last I have in stock). Then I'm going to sew a border to which I have reserved one of the fabrics used in the composition (and this time I will sew it by machine!). I would like to finish it with an additional edge in lace.

I take advantage of this post to show you also to my two new flowers, the buttercups, one of my favorite...
