Colori vivaci

Come non detto!

Voglio finirne uno e invece ne comincio uno nuovo!!

Non ho restitito ai colori vivaci delle mie nuove stoffe e così ho cucito insieme un paio di blocchi!

Ma vuoi vedere che il cuscino Hummel fatto un pò di tempo fa ha trovato il suo bel lenzuolino? Senza averlo fatto apposta non posso fare a meno di notare come si accostino bene le due cose!
Il plaid è un pò diverso dai precedenti color pastello, ma ogni tanto si ha voglia anche di osare no?

Forget it! Instead to finish the last quilt I've started a new one!

I could not resist to my new fabrics and so I sewed a couple of blocks together!

Did you notice that the Hummel pillowmade some time ago has found his sheets? They fit perfectly together!

The plaid is a bit different from the previous pastel colored, but sometimes we like to use more color, dont't you?

Nuovo plaid

Sto lavorando ad un nuovo plaid, a dir la verità e dall'anno scorso che gli sono dietro. Il lavoro procede molto a rilento anche perchè gli esagoni vanno cuciti tutti a mano e la cosa rischia di diventare noiosa anche se amo le stoffe che ho scelto e mi diverto molto negli abbinamenti. Non mollo, voglio finirlo presto!

Non sono una maestra nel patchwork, non ho neanche fatto un corso, ma la cosa ha cominciato ad appassionarmi molto. Mi piace scegliere stoffe colorate e fiorite, accostarle insieme, e creare qualche piccolo oggetto per la casa in modo semplice e naturale, (come viene viene), senza impegnarmi in disegni troppo complessi.

Un'altra cosa che mi piace fare è tenere le stoffe e gli accessori in scatole di cartone come questa, dai colori pastello, che richiamano i colori del plaid stesso.

I'm working on a new quilt, to say the truth, it is since last year that I'm working on it. The work also is proceeding very slowly because the hexagons are all sewn by hand and it could become boring even though I love the fabrics that I chose and I really enjoy the combinations. I don't want to give up, I want to finish it soon! I'm not very good at patchwork, I have not even done a course, but it began to be very fond of it. I like to choose colored and blooming fabrics, put them together and create some small household items in a simple and natural way, without being envolved in too complicated designs.

Another thing I like to do is to keep fabrics and accessories in cardboard boxes like this, pastel colored that recall the colors of the quilt that I am working on.

Lily of the Valley

La mia passione per i bambini come quella per la montagna non avrà mai fine... Gli "Hummel" per me sono semplicemente adorabili!! Ogni loro schema è irresistibile e mi sono detta che prima o poi li ricamerò tutti e diventeranno dei quadretti che abbelliranno una stanza per bambini... Chissà se riuscirò nel progetto... Però sarei a quota 4, anche se due li ho regalati.

Mi sono promessa anche che ricamerò nuovamente quelli regalati anche per me!

Questa volta c'è anche una modifica rispetto ai precedenti. Ho ricamato gli altri tutti su lino, sicurissima del buon risultato e convinta ormai da tempo a lavorare solo su quest'ultima; Invece qualcosa questa volta mi ha suggerito di provare l'Aida che poi è anche quella consigliata nello schema e presente all'interno del kit. Non sono affatto dispiaciuta, anche se non avrei mai pensato di riprendere a ricamare sulla Aida come ai primi tempi. Penso che ogni disegno abbia bisogno della sua personale tela e i bambini Hummel risaltano meglio e sono più veritieri ricamati su questa, il lino appare troppo fitto e non rende la qualità dell'immagine nell'insieme.

Voi cosa ne pensate?

My passion for children as well as the one for mountains will never end ... "Hummel" are for me simply adorable! Each of their scheme is irresistible and I told myself that sooner or later they all will become stitched and one day they will embellish a room for children ... I wonder if my project will be succesfull... But this is the fourth one of my collection, even if I gave them two away for presents. I promise myself that even those I've gifted will be stitched again by me and only for me! This time there is a change from the previous I've stitched. I've stitched all the others on linen, very sure of good results and convinced for some time to work only on linen; but something this time has suggested me to try the Aida that is also recommended and that you find inside the kit. I am not sorry, though I never thought to return stitching on Aida as the first time. I think every design needs his own kind of fabric and children Hummel emerge out better and are more real on this kind of fabric, linen is too thick and does not produce the overall image quality. What do you think about?

Profumatissima lavanda

E' nei giorni scorsi che è cresciuta la lavanda sul mio balcone ed ora è proprio nel pieno della sua fioritura... Tempo un anno e la piccola piantina che avevo acquistato l'anno scorso si è trasformata in uno spettacolo di colori e profumi!!

A questo proposito non potevo mostravi uno dei miei vecchi lavori. Il mio primissimo "kit" DMC il "Cestino di lavanda"... Non è uguale a quello vero?

Impazzisco per i bouquet di fiori, e questo è il primo in assoluto della mia collezione!

This is the right time to show you one of my old works. My very first "kit" by DMC "The basket of lavender" ... Isn't it like the real one? I'm mad for flower bouquets, and this is the very first of my collection!

Tra fiori e farfalle

Ah com'è bella la primavera, finalmente qualche giornata calda e soleggiata!! Che voglia di stendersi in un bel prato fiorito, cogliere margherite e scoprire le tante meraviglie della natura.

Proprio come queste bambine a caccia di farfalle!

Ho realizzato questo cuscinetto aggiungendo anche qualche spillo dalla testa fiorita, pensando ad un suo utilizzo anche come punta spilli.

Oh how beautiful is spring, finally some mild and sunny days! What a pleasure to lie in a meadow full of flowers, picking daisies and discovering the wonders of nature. Just as these children chasing butterflies! I made this pin cushion by adding a few pin with a flower head, thinking of using it as a pin keeper.
